The Shiva Series

This series is a depiction of Lord Shiva in various illustration styles About Shiva In Hindu mythology, Shiva is often portrayed with a third eye, representing his ability to see beyond the apparent, into the realm of truth and enlightenment. His matted hair is adorned with the crescent moon, symbolizing the passage of time, while the river Ganges flows through it, representing purification and the flow of life. He is also depicted with a trident (trishul), which symbolizes his power to destroy the three worlds: the physical world, the world of the mind, and the world of the spirit. Shiva's personality is multifaceted; he can be both ascetic and passionate, detached and involved. He is often depicted in deep meditation, representing his ability to transcend worldly desires and attachments & is also known for his fierce aspect as the destroyer of evil forces, symbolized by his dance of destruction, the Tandava.
